i'm coming out {six} just another one of those girls

i don't think i could help but post this here. because everyone needs to see it.
i think it's obvious that we all eventually want to end up like this. but, how exactly? with who? that's the hard part. there's a difference between infatuation and admiration. infatuation is something that is short-lived and passionate. whereas, admiration is a respect for someone. and yet commitment is higher than both of these.

over the past few weeks, i think i've developed a crush on tim tebow. but, as it may happen, this is somewhat of a different crush. forget the fact that tim and i are both left-handed. forget the fact that tim and i are both homeschoolers {and proud}. we are both active believers. he praises the Lord no matter what. and for me, i just can't off and say that i have a crush on tim tebow. it's a little bit more complicated than that.

he is a Godly man. he is focused. he doesn't run off and date some random girl and then break it off just because he was done with that one. no, he has purpose. and i have purpose as well. my mom was speaking of it in the car on the way home from church: whoever tim tebow is going to marry in the next few years, she is going to be one lucky, happy girl. what, mom? you speak of it as if it can't be me? and i'm ashamed of myself for thinking something like this. i don't even know why i'm telling you guys this.

with tim tebow, you can't jut have a crush. because tim is different. he stands out. for obvious reasons. because his is purposeful don't you have to be purposeful, too? purposeful is not walking around half-naked hanging around every guy you see. purposeful is focused. it's attentive. purposeful, in my mom's way of saying it, is walking up to tim tebow in a bridal gown. because even though you may not be the girl he's going to marry, atleast you have the right intentions.

i'll admit it. yes, tim tebow has the same qualities that i want in my future husband. one in love with God. two submitted to authority. parents, pastor, and other figures of such. and the others aren't necessarily important, because they have to do with the physical aspect of things.

i remember when my grandma was looking for second homes here in texas. we found one not even a block away from us. it was ideal, in great shape, and just in her price range. but we didn't get it. sure, we were upset, but didn't that mean that there was something better out there? just because we don't get the guy we want, that doesn't mean we have to throw a fit and swear off guys. because doesn't that mean that God has something better for us?

i was going to post something different today. i can't even remember what. i've been having a shortage of inspiration, but when this came to mind i just couldn't pass it up. i don't want to be just another one of those girls that wears daisy dukes in winter and allows herself to be handled by who-knows what type of guy. i can't be just another one of those girls who has a crush on tim tebow just because he's good looking. i have to have purpose in this. because, after all, he does.

make a revelation {day 3}

One of my friends and I are having problems. Again. One minute she's awesome and fun and the next she cusses me out, and calls me a - okay, you get the picture. I felt really bad, and eventually I had a good cry. Each time this happens, we figure it out, but it's harder for me to forgive her each time. Of course, I said it was harder to forgive her. I didn't say I didn't forgive her. So, I went to my room and got my Bible and said "God, I'm feeling really upset right now. She hates me again, and my parents aren't really helping, either. I need a scripture." And he had me turn to 1st John 4. It specifically talked about God's love. This is what it says:
1 My dear friends, many false prophets have gone out into the world. So do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God.2 This is how you can know God's Spirit: Every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ came to earth as a human is from God.3 And every spirit who refuses to say this about Jesus is not from God. It is the spirit of the enemy of Christ, which you have heard is coming, and now he is already in the world.
 4 My dear children, you belong to God and have defeated them; because God's Spirit, who is in you, is greater than the devil, who is in the world.5And they belong to the world, so what they say is from the world, and the world listens to them.6 But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. But those who are not from God do not listen to us. That is how we know the Spirit that is true and the spirit that is false.
 7 Dear friends, we should love each other, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has become God's child and knows God.8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.9 This is how God showed his love to us: He sent his one and only Son into the world so that we could have life through him.10 This is what real love is: It is not our love for God; it is God's love for us. He sent his Son to die in our place to take away our sins.
 11 Dear friends, if God loved us that much we also should love each other.12 No one has ever seen God, but if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is made perfect in us.
 13 We know that we live in God and he lives in us, because he gave us his Spirit.14We have seen and can testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.15Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God has God living inside, and that person lives in God.16And so we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love.
   God is love. Those who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.17 This is how love is made perfect in us: that we can be without fear on the day God judges us, because in this world we are like him.18Where God's love is, there is no fear, because God's perfect love drives out fear. It is punishment that makes a person fear, so love is not made perfect in the person who fears.
 19 We love because God first loved us.20 If people say, "I love God," but hate their brothers or sisters, they are liars. Those who do not love their brothers and sisters, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have never seen.21 And God gave us this command: Those who love God must also love their brothers and sisters.
To me this is saying that we should love even if we don't feel loved. We should love, even if we don't want to. Because He loves, we should do the same. So maybe I don't feel like forgiving her. It doesn't mean I'm not going to. So maybe I don't feel loved by anyone. Whatever. Someone loves us, whether we think so or not. There is so much more that lies beyond our feelings.
Also, please keep my friend in your prayers. I'm not sure what's going on in her life, and even though she claims she is a Christian, something else seems to be standing in the way of her and full surrender to God. So, please, pray. Thanks you guys :)

make a revelation {day 2}

I really like this:
This part really makes me think: "I do not give to you as the world gives..." I think that's interesting, and really beautiful. Why? Because the world throws everything that it can onto you, and you can't take it. God doesn't do that. Like the beginning of the verse: "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you..." He gives you peace. He doesn't give you chaos. The world is chaotic. God is order. There's so many things going on in this worldly life that it's so hard to keep up. It troubles body, it troubles the mind, and it troubles the heart. But you don't have to be troubled. You can have peace. You don't have to be afraid, you can have peace.
God doesn't give to you as the world gives...the world gives you chaos. God gives you peace.

make a revelation - {day 1}

I'm starting new series here at this blog!! Yay!!!! Every few days (or whenever I update) I'll put up a quote that means something to me, and I'll explain why it's so important to me. Sound cool? I think so. Okay, here's day one:
This is something that I think millions of people misunderstand. Yeah, we have a body, but our body isn't the main priority. It's the heart, and it's the soul. We have a body to take care of, to replenish, but we have a mind, soul, and a spirit to take care of and replenish as well.
Your body will one day expire, and everyone thinks that's the end. Death. That's it. No more of you. But actually, it's interesting. You have a body, that will one day pass away, but your soul, your spirit lives forever. Alot of people don't think about what will happen after death. They just think about death itself, and then they waste their life away. It's really sad. They could've fulfilled the purpose that was set before them, but instead, they worried all their life.
If you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and that he is the Son of God, you will go to Heaven, by faith alone. You don't need to prove yourself worthy, or worry about what's going to happen to you, because Jesus already did that for you.
This may be going a little off subject, but the point is, eventually your body will pass away. You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You just have a body.

the littlest things can have the biggest meanings....

I found this on tumblr:
It's surprising how the littlest things can have the biggest meanings.
