i am undeserving, but he loves me anyway.

Let's face it. We don't deserve Gods' love. We screw up over a million times [daily]. So, why should God love us? Well....let's see....

  • We were made in God's image.
  • And even though God knows we screw up, he loves us anyway.
  • He loves us so much, he gave his only son, Jesus so that we would be saved by grace.
God's son faced every single thing we go through in this life...on the cross. He bore our sins for us..that way we'd be sinless. No matter what we do, God loves us anyway.
I'm not saying to screw up on purpose just because you know "God loves you and he'll forgive you" (Yes he will, but I wouldn't do that. That's just not smart).
I know today is "earth day" and everyone's teaming up [for a day] to help save the planet. Well, it's actually Good Friday. The day Jesus laid his life down on the cross, so that we could have eternal life. I guess earth day is good and all (I don't do anything for earth day) but take a moment to thank God for his son, and for the sacrifice he made.
Oh, by the way:
song stuck in my head: "how he loves" david crowder band
Oh, he loves us. Oh how he loves us.
Have a lovely-happy fun-filled Friday! :))

teenagers VS young adults: Jocee

[this was originally posted at my main blog: Cupcake Dictionary.]

So, today's the last day of this blog series (for now) and it's my turn to answer the questions. It was a great week, and I'd like to thank everyone who I interviewed. *nostalgic moment, clapping* And now, I give you my interview:
Teenagers VS Young Adults: Jocee_ _
What's your name? Jocee :D
How old are you? 14
What's your favorite color? Sunshine Yellow and Gray and Lavender Purple
What is a teenager to you? During this week I've begun to rethink the meaning of a teenager. I used to think, honestly, that a teenager was a person between the ages of 13 and 19 who lived a life that was literally planned out for them by the teenagers that lived before them. It seemed like they were supposed to be lazy and rebellious and do it "because it felt good" or something like that.
I think people get confused by the word "teenager". When it's said they have all these thoughts come into their head telling them what a teenager really is. To me a teenager is a person who is taking the journey into young adulthood. Yes, maturity matters, and I think teenagers today should know that. I also think we should change the meaning of the word teenager. (I think I rambled on a bit too much without answering the question...ooops)
What's a young adult to you? Personally, a young adult can be anyone, regardless of age. A young adult is a person who is trustworthy, polite, and mature, and I believe you can be very young and achieve this status.
Do you think teenagers have to be moody and rebellious just because that's the "status quo"? No, I don't believe that. But some teenagers are, and I know alot of people like that. However, teenagers can be emotional at times, and it may not have to do with the "status quo" at all. As far as rebellious is concerned, I think it matters on what certain people think being rebellious is.
Do you think young adults are "party animals" and take advantage of their freedom too much? Some young adults do things like this, but most young adults I know intend to fulfill their purpose in life. Rarely I hear them going to parties and just taking a drive with a few of their friends, they're mostly out in the world doing something.
Do you wanna be a teenager or a young adult? Honestly? I'd like to be a young adult. I aspire to everyday. Before this blog series I honestly didn't like the people I knew who were classified as...I guess you could say "traditional teenagers". But now, I want to understand them more, and understand what they're feeling, and find out what makes them act the way some of them do. I want to be polite, encouraging, and mature, and I want every teenager to want the same thing. But it can't be done in one day, it takes several steps to do that. Right now, I'd like to be the best me I can be :)

That concludes this blog series! (For now) I hope you liked it, and I'm glad you all were responding to the answers that were said. I gotta go now. Time to get ready for the swim meet. Ugh. Pray for me!

teenagers VS young adults: Raven

[this was originally posted at my main blog: Cupcake Dictionary. So sorry for the wait!]
So, this is the last interview for my blog series (excluding the fact that I'll be posting my answers tomorrow) and I hope this one really makes you think, since all the others have been so much. So, let's give a big imaginary round of applause to my special friend, Raven.
Teenagers VS Young Adults: Raven_ _
What's your name? Raven :)
How old are you? 14
What's your favorite color? Purple!!!
What is a teenager to you? 13 years old and over. They can be moody but they are fun to be around.
What's a young adult to you? 17 and over. Someone who can drive and has alot more freedom. They are busy and on the go.
Do you think teenagers have to be moody and rebellious just because that's the "status quo"? No, and if you can control it, there's no need to be moody and just spaz out all the time.
Do you think young adults are "party animals" and take advantage of their freedom too much? Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. At times it's the life of the party people, but young adults aren't all fun and games. They have a purpose, too.
Do you wanna be a teenager or a young adult? A young adult. I think that a young adult is trusted and your parents give you freedom. But with freedom comes responsibility, so I want to make choices wisely and....not be much of a party person.

These were very different answers compared to the other interviews, don't you think? I hope you liked it, I loved these interviews. The last interview (mine) is to come tomorrow!

teenagers VS young adults: Lauren

[This was originally posted at my main blog: Cupcake Dictionary]
Now, I'm loving that these interviews are all making you guys think!! It's making me think for sure. And, now, on day four of this series, I give you:
Teenagers VS Young Adults: Lauren_ _
What's your name? Lauren :D
How old are you? 18
What's your favorite color? Hmm. Blue! I just adore blue.
What is a teenager to you? Technically, I'd consider a teenager to be anyone between 13 and 18 years old.
What's a young adult to you? A young adult is someone who is mature, and responsible. I truly believe that you can be as young as 15 years old, and be a young adult.
Do you think teenagers have to be moody and rebellious just because that's the "status quo"? Certainly not! Especially not if they’re living in a Christian household. I know, maybe that sounds harsh or something, but I think that if you’ve grown up in a Christian household (as it seems so many of us bloggers have), you’re not really going to be overly rebellious…unless you call like, wanting to get your ears pierced rebellious. In that case, I’m such a rebel! ;)
As far as being moody goes, no, I don’t think it’s necessary, and I know quite a few “teenagers” who aren’t a bit moody!
So my overall answer is that while teenagers occasionally tend to be moody and rebellious, I definitely don’t think that they have to be. It’s all about choices, ya’ll.
Do you think young adults are "party animals" and take advantage of their freedom too much? Well, in all honesty, I think it depends on the person. Yes, there are plenty of young adults who do take too much advantage of their freedom, and act out. But at the same time, there are plenty who are quite literally, just young adults. I mean, when you think of adults, you generally don’t think of them partying and being all crazy and such, and I really believe that there are young people who can be like that as well.
Do you wanna be a teenager or a young adult?
(Like I said in my one comment) I grew up with my two aunts who are 13 and 14 years older than me. They’ve been my best friends for forever, and I really think that that’s given me, like, an older mind, ya know? I mean, yeah, I still have some teenage tendencies, like my obsession with Disney movies (hehehe), or my enjoyment of coloring: but in all honesty, I’ll probably still be like that 10 years down the road ;) I honestly think that I just kinda passed over the teenage phase of life; it’s as if I haven’t been a teenager since I was in the 8th grade, and even then, I don't know if I really counted as a typical teenager! I think because of Emily and Abby (my aunts), I’ve just always felt older than the kids around me in high school…and without being cocky, I’ll admit, I’ve often felt more mature.

I know, that may sound self-righteous, but it’s just how I feel. I’ve always felt so far ahead of those around me in school (not education-wise, but personal-growth-wise), and I really think that it's because of how I grew up mainly with girls who were so much older than me! But as I said, I’m perfectly capable of being silly, and acting like a little kid…but over all, I would definitely consider myself a young adult as opposed to a teenager. Of course, I’ve got a ways to go, and still some things to learn, but that’s just life: there’s always more to learn, eh?

Yay, Lauren!! I think that was awesome! Well, this concludes day four of this blog series, stay tuned for more! (that totally just sounded like a tv show)
P.S. Go check out Lauren's blog! If you haven't, you haven't lived. But if you have, do it again :)

teenagers VS young adults: Alex

[This was originally posted at my main blog: Cupcake Dictionary]

So, it's day three of the blog series!! And this time it's my very special friend, Alex's turn. So enjoy :))
Teenagers VS Young Adults: Alex_ _
What's your name? Alex
How old are you? 17
What's your favorite color? Purple
What is a teenager to you? A teenager is someone who is usually ages 13-19. But that doesn't necessarily mean that just because you're in the age range that you're limited to that title.
What's a young adult to you? A young adult is someone usually ages 18 and over. But those with a higher maturity level even within their late teens, can be considered young adults.
Do you think teenagers have to be moody and rebellious just because that's the "status quo"? No. However, it's usually as a result of hormones that teenagers act out.
Do you think young adults are "party animals" and take advantage of their freedom too much? No. It's a choice. I know plenty of young adults who are not party animals.
Do you wanna be a teenager or a young adult? Young adult :-)

What did you think? This interview was shorter than the previous ones, but it was right to the point. I think it was great :))

teenagers VS young adults: Bleah Briann

[This was originally posted at my main blog: Cupcake Dictionary. Sorry for the wait, guys!]

This is the second interview for my blog series:
And I got alot of feedback from yesterday's post. Today, it's our very own Bleah Briann's turn, and I hope you like what she has to say (I do). So, I give you, Bleah.
Teenagers VS Young Adults: Bleah_ _
What's your name? Bleah Briann :)
How old are you? 16
What's your favorite color? I have alot... right now I'm into yellow.
What is a teenager to you? Someone between the ages of 13-19.
What's a young adult to you? Someone between the ages of 20..and maybe 25 or 26.
Do you think teenagers have to be moody and rebellious just because that's the "status quo"? No. I think that children, young adults, adults and the elderly choose to be moody and rebellious all the same. The fact that you choose not to shows maturity. And maturity has nothing to do with how many years ago you were born.
Do you think young adults are "party animals" and take advantage of their freedom too much? No. Personally, I think that the whole "young adult" lifestyle is completely stereotypical and I think that honestly, very few young adults are interested in wasting their life away like that. Most people that I know want something more purposeful in their lives.
Do you wanna be a teenager or a young adult? Haha, I wanna be me. Right now I'm a teenager and I want to be the best teenager I can be. In a few years, I won't be a teenager anymore. Whoever I am, wherever I am in life, I just want to be me. I want to be the best I can be. And I want to be how God intended me to be. :)

Wow. That was good, don't you think? I loved it!! You should go check out Bleah's blog if you haven't. But if you have, why don't you just check it out again.

teenagers VS young adults: Lizzi

[This was originally posted at my main blog: Cupcake Dictionary]
So, this is my first interview for my new blog series:
I'm really excited, and I hope you enjoy. I hope it really makes you think too, because it made me think. I think it needs to reach alot of our teens and well..general young people today. So without further ado, I give you:
Teenagers VS Young Adults: Lizzi_ _
What's your name? Lizzi

How old are you? 13

What's your favorite color(s)? Purple and Silver

What is a teenager to you? A teenager is a 13 year old (or older)

What is a young adult to you? A young adult is a person that can drive, has had her (or his) first kiss, can wear make-up, can get away with short dresses (applying to girls) and basically doesn't have to follow all of their parent's rules.

Do you think teenagers have to be moody and rebellious just because that's the "status quo"? No, teenagers should go against the grain. But, you don't find all teenagers like this. Almost all the teens I know listen to hip-hop and R&B, unlike me who listens to classical music. Almost all the teens I know like to wear the latest fashions, unlike me, who wears slouchy shirts and baggy sweats.

Do you think young adults are "party animals" and take advantage of their freedom too much? No, not all young adults are buck wild, but I think they abuse their power with all the parties, drinks and sex. Young adults are examples to us teens and some of them don't realize we're watching them and making choices off of what they do.

Do you want to be a teenager or a young adult? I'd rather be a teen at the moment, so instead of worrying about later years, I'd rather enjoy my life right now.

I think this went well. Don't you? Comment and tell me your thoughts!! (You can also copy and paste my blog series button on your blog)
And also, you should check out Lizzi's blog
Hope you enjoyed! More interviews to come.
